Info i would like:
1) what do i need? which version of 10.7 would possibly work if any?
2) what are the basic start up steps i need . can i install with win 7 x64 and ubuntu 10.10 x64 ?
3) since others have gotten osX to run is it limited to anything before 10.7 or is there a list of requirements soemwhere for 10.7 machines?

I do not remember how i got to this point, but it did. From what i remember, somethign happened and i was repairing my computer and power got cut off. so i tried it again and again and nothign works.

i have used startup repair and left it there for hours and nothing happened.

this is the precise description of what i have tried so if anyone knows what to do please let me know thanks.

my computer wonèt boot. I tried quite a few soulutions, those of which failed me miserably.

first, I tried pressing Alt + F10. On the internet, it says it should bring you to Acer Erecovery management. Bullshit. it brings me to edit boot options.

Hence, i searched for different solutions.

downloading windows 7 CDs. As i do not have a orginal windows 7 CD or repair CD or have money to go buy over 16GB USB just to use it to fix my computer) i downloaded windows 7 Home edition and windows 7 repair disc ISOs and burned them on my DVD-RW.

I have went into BIOS using F2 key and have prioritized my boot order.

here is what i put

1. USB CDROM

2. IDE1 : PIONEER DVD-RW DVRTD10RS

3. IDE0 : Hitachi HTS.

I saved it, and then, nothing. just another screen that says windows failed to start and gives me 2 options. When i start my computer I can hear my CD-ROM running CDs, but nooooooo. Bill Gates is not going to make my day easier by making windows easy to fix.

Launch startup Repair

When i do startup repair, It loads, and then blue screen with a curser pops up and it loads something (i can tell because a circle appears beside the curser and disappears). Then, nothing. just plain blue screen.

start windows normally

When i start windows normally, my computer goes to black screen, and blue error screen we used to see on windows 98 and stuff pops up for 1 millisecond and disappears and reboots the computer.

As a last resort, i went on advanced boot options by pressing F8 key.
